Io Audio Technologies has released a family of 3- and 5-pin XLR-type chassis connectors engineered for audio and lighting applications. Available in black or nickel housings, JL Series connectors feature a metal housing for EMI resistance, with silver-plated contacts, solder cups and a standard D-size cutout for use with current industry equipment. E Series connectors feature a high-density, black plastic housing with gold-plated contacts and fit in a standard A-size cutout. Vertical and horizontal PCB mount versions are also offered.

DirectOut will present its multifunction audio processor, PRODIGY.MP, at booth #350 at AES in New York this week. The exhibition floor is open Oct. 16-18, 2019. PRODIGY.MP promises users tools solutions including sample rate converters for AES3, clock independent MADI I/Os and a versatile sync management along with flexible and powerful signal processing.

QSC has launched the KS118 active subwoofer. The KS118 succeeds the company’s KW181 model in the KS Series line of subwoofers. Featuring a long-excursion 18-inch direct radiating driver powered by a 3600-Watt Class D amplifier, the KS118 delivers high sound pressure levels with dynamic and musical sound reproduction of very low frequencies. On-board DSP optimizes and protects system performance while also offering advanced capabilities such as the ability to array two units in a cardioid arrangement, maximizing low frequency output in front while minimizing unwanted energy around the sides and rear of the system.
