Powersoft Software Update for ArmoniaPlus

Powersoft announced a software update for the company’s ArmoniaPlus that includes streamlined functionalities of the system manager along with improvements in the amplifier’s detail user interface and the addition of a subharmonic generator to better support the Mover transducer. The revisions to the detail user interface make it easier to access all the amplifier’s processing block. Also, Dante settings can be controlled from the amplifier details, and the new speaker preset v3 format includes manufacturer EQ and other parameters.

Carvin QX5A Active 3-Channel Near-Field Monitor

Now shipping, Carvin Amps and Audio’s QX5A is designed to function as both a powered near-field monitor and as a three-channel mixer/monitor with an external output to send to a powered main speaker for live performances. Houses of worship can also benefit from the compact near-field design, allowing audio from the mixing console to be sent directly to the performers, and letting them adjust their own volume and tone as needed. Debuting at InfoComm 2019, the new Connect Series has four mid-power models of IoT (Internet of Things) enabled amps for the pro install market. The Connect 354, Connect 704, Connect 354D and Connect 704D offer system designers and integrators simple, powerful solutions to drive large-scale installs with the capacity of their built-in AWS IoT Cores allowing integrators to monitor hundreds of data points (from fan speed to thermal temperatures to system faults and more) without even being in the same building as the system. The Series has two product families – the Dante Connect and Network Connect models. All four mid-power models are built with fully routable analog inputs and the 354D and 704D have the addition of Dante and AES 67 connectivity. All four models also boast three different ways of network connection using built in WiFi Access Point, connect to the existing WiFi network, or using a Local Area Network Ethernet connection.
