“Callas in Concert” Makes Use of DPA Instrument Microphones

SANFORD, NC – For Callas in Concert, the late opera singer Maria Callas was brought back to the stage via hologram, more than 40 years after her passing. FOH and Recording Engineer Howard “Howie” Lindeman relied on 27 of DPA Microphones’ low-profile 4099 instrument microphones for the live orchestral performers. Audio-Technica Extends Trade-In Rebate Program for 600 MHz Wireless Systems Through July 13, 2020

STOW, OH – As the industry looks to the phase-out of wireless systems operating in the 600 MHz band, Audio-Technica is extending its trade-in rebate program through July 13 of this year. The official cut-off date for any wireless system operating in the auctioned portion of the 600 MHz spectrum is July 13, 2020, including any device capable of tuning into that spectrum even if not being used.

FOH’s NAMM 2020 Show Report

ANAHEIM – From January 16-19, 2020, some 115,000 industry pros made the annual pilgrimage to Anaheim, CA for the NAMM Show. And in addition to hundreds of meetings, seminars, events and of course, more than 2,000 exhibiting member companies on the tradeshow floor (including the expanded North Hall with two floors dedicated to pro audio), there was plenty to see, hear and experience.
