WASHINGTON, DC – On July 30, NAMM’s Public Affairs and Government Relations department and Bandit Lites chair Michael T. Strickland, among others, discussed the proposed HEROES and HEALS Acts, Education Stabilization Fund and more in a NAMM-sponsored webinar on Covid-19 relief options. Hours later, Strickland reached out to PLSN and FOH with another open letter to the industry and an appeal for everyone to contact their representatives in Congress.

CES 2021 Show to Go Digital

ARLINGTON, VA – The Consumer Technology Association (CTA), organizers of the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, announced on July 28, 2020 that CES 2021, set for Jan. 6-9, 2021, will be an all-digital experience for the first time since the show began in 1967. More than 170,000 reportedly attended the 2020 in-person event earlier this year.

Live Nation Revs Up Enthusiasm with “Drive In” Weekend in Three Cities

ST. LOUIS – On the second weekend in July, Live Nation brought live music back to three sheds – in St. Louis, Nashville and Indianapolis. By “sheds” we mean the amphitheater parking lots. But these lots could hold a thousand cars, so full-blown productions including delay video screens and speakers were involved. Live Nation turned to local vendors to supply all the gear except backline.
