FAIRFAX, VA – AVIXA’s first virtual version of their InfoComm expo, InfoComm 2020 Connected, featured live presentations and keynote addresses from June 16-18. The virtual Exhibitor Showcases, with 167 sound-related companies among the 495 exhibitors, also kicked off on June 16. The online booths showcased real product innovation. d&b audiotechnik Offers Live Online Sessions

BACKNANG, Germany – d&b audiotechnik is continuing with its live online sessions. The company hosted a Facebook Live panel discussion with Eighth Day Sound and Tool audio crew members on June 30, and on July 2, at 10 a.m. Los Angeles time and 1 p.m. NYC time, d&b will be chatting with sound designer Jessica Paz (pictured here), the first woman to win a Tony Award for sound design.

A Look Back at The Grateful Dead’s “Fare Thee Well Tour,” After Five Years

BERKELEY, CA – Five years have passed since the Grateful Dead staged their five-show, two-city “Fare Thee Well” tour. Performing in June and July 2015, the shows celebrated 50 years and were the final concerts where the “core four” original band members performed together. Meyer Sound caught up with UltraSound’s Derek Featherstone, who led the sound system design and mixed these epic shows.
