World Youth Day 2023 Welcomes 1.5 Million to Lisbon with Outline Newton Assist

LISBON, Portugal – World Youth Day 2023 welcomed Pope Francis and 1.5 million pilgrims to Lisbon in early August. The vast listening area, measuring 1 x 3 kilometers, was covered by 109 P.A. towers with 1,100 loudspeakers driven by 327 amplifiers, with more than 100 kilometers of optical fiber and 300 network switches. Two Outline Newton FPGA-based signal processors, customized for the event, also played a key role.

Siren RnR Supports Japanese Singer’s Performance in Germany with RCF TT Systems

SIEGBURG, Germany – Uli Hoppert from Siren RnR used RCF TT 515-A, TT 808-AS, TT 515-A and TT 808-AS components to provide sound reinforcement for a free musical event organized by the German-Japanese Society in Siegburg. The event, staged in the Siegburg City Museum, featured Japanese singer Mitsuru Kijo performing with German pianist Holger Mantey.
