NEWNAN, GA — LaDon Findley, principal and chief sound designer at Performa Technologies, Millbrook, AL, might have needed more than a simple “speaker on a stick” strategy to cover the entire football field at Newnan High School’s Drake Stadium. But he didn’t need more than one speaker — a sole Danley Jericho Horn JH-90. For the “stick,” Findley worked with StressCrete to design a custom pole on which to mount the 700-plus pound JH-90.

NEW YORK — IATSE, the stagehands union, has created two new divisions and re-organized another. Along with its new Division of Education and Training, IATSE added a Broadcast Division. IATSE has also moved its Organizing Division into its Stagecraft Division—all of its other divisions had their own organization division, so this move eliminates some redundancies, but ensures each arm of IATSE has a team dedicated to organizing.

The installation includes speakers from Meyer Sound, a Soundcraft Vi1 Console, a Clear-Com communications system, QSC amplifiers, a Mackie 1202-VLZ3 compact mixer and cabling infrastructure and stage boxes.
