Performance of ‘Blue Danube Waltz’ Transmitted to Space

VIENNA – After first taming some acoustic challenges at Vienna’s Museum of Applied Arts, tonzauber’s Georg Burdicek used a Lawo mc²36 MkII console as Johann Strauss II’s “Blue Danube Waltz” was being performed. While marking 200- and 50-year milestones for the Strauss composition and the European Space Agency (ESA), the music was also sent into outer space via ESA’s DSA 2 ground station in Cebreros, Spain.

Barcelona’s El Molino Club Installs SSL Live L100 Plus

BARCELONA, Spain – The historic El Molino, a former cabaret theater and a cultural landmark for more than 100 years, reopened in October 2024 following renovations and a total refresh of its installed sound, lighting and stage technologies. The club, which presents music, stand-up comedy and other entertainment five nights a week, now features a Solid State Logic Live L100 Plus mixing console at front-of-house that is tightly integrated with the venue’s new immersive audio speaker system.
