But in response to subsequent restrictions on gatherings of more than 1,000 people, and uncertainty about when those new restrictions might be lifted, the organizers of Prolight + Sound, Messe Frankfurt, found it necessary to cancel all plans for a 2020 PL+S trade fair outright.
