RCF Group To Acquire DPA Microphones

REGGIO EMILIA, Italy — RCF Group announced its acquisition of Allerod, Denmark-based DPA Microphones A/S from The Riverside Company Dec. 11. As with EAW, which RCF acquired from Loud Audio in September, the acquisition is being welcomed by top management of the company being acquired. Kalle Hvidt Nielsen, CEO of DPA, spoke of a “bright future” for the DPA brand, and Arturo Vicari, CEO of RCF Group, also lauded the new milestone. “We can now offer the complete audio chain, from microphones to speakers for the satisfaction of professionals around the world.”

The VUE team deployed an al-Class line array system including 24x al-12s hung 12x per side on the main stage, 12x hs-221 subwoofers ground-stacked in a line along the front of the stage with four stacks of two al-8SB subwoofers, two stacks per side; 8x al-8s as front fills stacked two high and spread in four stacks across the front of the stage; and 4x al-8 on each side of the stage provide side fill.

VUE China Supports Nine Percent in Beijing

BEIJING – VUE China deployed a VUE al-Class line array for the Oct. 3 “My Girl” concert at Beijing National Olympic Sports Center, which also celebrated the 18th birthday of Chen Linong, a member of the boy band Nine Percent. The band is comprised of the top nine winners in a popular Chinese talent competition hosted earlier this year by online video site iQiyi. The setup included al-12 arrays (12 per side), hs-221 subs, al-8SB subs and al-8s for front and side fill.
