Gigant Sound Provides Outline System for 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Poland

GLIWICE, Poland – The 17th Junior Eurovision Song Contest, staged in Gliwice Arena in southern Poland Nov. 24, included a DiGiCo-drive Outline system provided by Gigant Sound. The venue system included 48 C-12 modules, 42 Superfly modules, close to 60 Mantas boxes (including frontfills) and 20 DBS 18-2 subwoofers along with Outline’s Newton 16+8 FPGA processor.

Primal Scream Tours U.K. and Ireland with DiGiCo SD12 Consoles at FOH and Monitors

GLASGOW, Scotland – FOH engineer Chris Martin and monitor engineer Gerry Colclough have been using DiGiCo SD12 consoles for rock band Primal Scream’s most recent tour. The FOH setup includes a shared single SD-Rack on an optical loop running at 48kHz, with a Waves server connected via MADI to a DiGiGrid MGB interface.

Fire Fight Australia Concert Raises $9.5+ Million for Bushfire Relief

SYDNEY – Fire Fight Australia drew 70,000 to Sydney’s ANZ Stadium for 9.5 hours of music on Feb. 16 that included a Queen + Adam Lambert throwback to the original band’s 22-minute set during Live Aid in 1985. Other acts included Five Seconds of Summer, Michael BublĂ©, Alice Cooper, k.d. lang, John Farnham and Olivia Newton-John. The event, broadcast live in Australia and taped for U.S. and U.K. broadcasts, raised more than $9.5 million, and merchandise sales continue.

Cultural Center in Finland Equipped with Allen & Heath dLive

INARI, Finland – The Sámi Cultural Centre Sajos renovated its main auditorium, equipping it with new technology including an Allen & Heath dLive mixing system. Britannia Row Supports Cirque du Soleil’s “Luzia” at the Royal Albert Hall

LONDON – Cirque du Soleil returned to London’s Royal Albert Hall (RAH) on Jan. 12 for an eight-week run, bringing Luzia to Europe for the first time. Britannia Row Productions supplied the L-Acoustics sound system including main hangs of Kara and SB18 subs, additional SB18 sub hangs, and Arcs and X8s for fills and surround, along with processing and installation technicians.
