ANAHEIM, CA – At the 35th annual NAMM TEC Awards, held Jan. 18 during the NAMM 2020 show, winners were announced in 23 technical categories and eight categories related to creative excellence. Herbie Hancock presented Joni Mitchell with the Les Paul Innovation Award, and comedian Fred Armisen served as host.

NEW YORK – The 92nd Street Y in New York offers a variety of events within its Kaufmann Concert Hall. The concert hall’s IATSE Local One technical staff, with guidance from See Factor’s Alex Jones, L-Acoustics and Hudson Scenic Design, upgraded the 905-seat venue with L-Acoustics’ L-ISA Hyperreal Sound technology system.

TUCSON, AZ – Soundwave Inc. recently supplied a Martin Audio MLA Compact system for the Dusk Music Festival in Tucson, Arizona’s Armory Park. Showtime Sound LLC provided a split L-Acoustics Kara system design for the musical stage and light show.
