Severe Weather Hits Central Tennessee, East Nashville Music Venue Destroyed

NASHVILLE – In the overnight hours March 2-3, a powerful storm with heavy rains and a tornado ripped through central Tennessee, killing at least 22, with 150 more requiring hospitalization. The storm left a swath of destruction in Germantown, East Nashville and the John C. Tune Airport in West Nashville. The Basement East, a 400-capacity music venue on Woodland Street in East Nashville, was one of the buildings demolished by the storm. The club’s staff was able to take shelter and no one was hurt.

Michael Meacham, idesign’s owner, worked with DAS Audio’s John Fiorito to design and deploy DAS loudspeakers from the WR, Artec, Action, and Quantum series.

NEW YORK – The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’s house band, The Roots, as well as Fallon himself and guest artists, get mixed through DiGiCo desks. The Roots’ FOH engineer, Artless Poole, Jr., who also mixes The Roots on their live gigs and has supported the band for 20 years, is pictured here. The show makes use of three DiGiCo SD7 consoles paired with five SD-Racks.
