CP Communications Taps RAD Intercoms for Super Bowl LIII and Related Events

ATLANTA – Radio Active Designs (RAD) noted that its UV-1G wireless intercom systems were in use during numerous events related to Super Bowl LIII, including during the game itself, to ensure all lines of communication were kept open. At only 14.17 inches (36cm) high, the Paveosub-115/115sp is Voice-Acoustic’s lowest-profile 15″ subwoofer. The unit’s dimensions are 22.26 by 22.44 by 14.17 inches (54 x 57 x 36cm, WxDxH), making the unit a good fit with applications where the audio gear needs to be as visually discreet as possible. The unit is also relatively light in weight, at less than 60 pounds (27kg). The unit can be used flat or upright; and its “feet” and M20 flanges are provided on two sides. For touring applications, meanwhile, the Paveosub-115/115sp has advantages by keeping truck pack and weight requirements to a minimum.

Live Sound Engineer Brandon Blackwell Relies on Waves for A$AP Rocky Tour

MIAMI – FOH and monitor engineer Brandon Blackwell is using products from Waves Audio, including MultiRack SoundGrid, Waves SoundGrid Extreme Server and Waves Plugins, for A$AP Rocky’s “Injured Generation” tour. Blackwell’s setup includes a DiGiCo SD12 and a Waves Extreme Server running plugins on an external computer via Waves MultiRack. “Everything is sync’ed from the audio console to the host computer, which makes life so much easier; especially because I rely heavily on snapshot scenes,” Blackwell says.
