Tal Herzberg, a Grammy-nominated producer/engineer who was also one of the first employees at Waves, has passed away. He worked with Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige, The Pussycat Dolls, Counting Crows, Macy Gray, Keyshia Cole and Queen Latifah, among others. Herzberg also performed and recorded as a bassist with artists including The Corrs, Beth Hart and Mya.
Herzberg's involvement with Waves went back to the company's beginnings, when he became its first official U.S. West Coast user. "Tal was a very talented musician and engineer, but more than that, he was a close personal friend. He was the kind of guy you could call at any time of the day or night, and he'd be there for you. Personally, I feel a tremendous loss," said Gilad Keren, Waves founder and CEO.
Herzberg is survived by his wife and two daughters.
