This ProProduction session is a NAMM-only opportunity to join the best in the business, as they share their expertise and on-the-road experiences. This session will discuss how you take a tour global — what design and logistical considerations, as well as artist requests, need to be baked into the plan, the design and the bottom line. We will also speak about the state of the touring labor landscape in terms of mentorship, opportunities and challenges. This ProProduction Session is presented by PLSN and FOH Magazines.

Malcolm Weldon, Production Manager
Malcolm Weldon is a top concert touring production manager, who often refers to himself as “Just A Guy Pushing Boxes”. A sought after production manager, Wheldon has worked with many top artists, including P!nk, Beyonce, Cher, Tina Turner, and Janet Jackson, among others. He is also an immensely well-respected mentor within the concert touring community.
Alec Takahashi is based out of Nashville, TN. He is the Production and Lighting Designer for country artist Thomas Rhett. Takahashi was formerly on the creative team at Bayside Church in Northern CA before moving on to full-time freelance designing. His credits include working with For King & Country, Casting Crowns, Jordan Feliz, Lincoln Brewster, and Matt Maher, among others.
