SAN FRANCISCO – Marc Anthony brought energy and excitement to San Francisco’s Chase Center on March 10 for one of the final shows of his Viviendo Tour, which wrapped up March 19 at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena.
Anthony also performed at other notable venues in late 2022 and early 2023, including Madison Square Garden, in the artist’s hometown of New York; San Juan’s Coliseo of Puerto Rico, where his parents were from; and Miami’s FTX Arena, where he performed his show just one day after appearing at the Latin Grammy Awards in Las Vegas on Nov. 17, 2022.
In San Francisco, Anthony performed a non-stop string of hits backed by a big, festive salsa band including multiple percussionists, a brass section and backup singers. The set list included a few songs from his latest album, 2022’s Pa’llá Voy, and the show ran close to two hours with some songs stretching into improvised jams. The performance, capped with “Vivir Mi Vida” as the encore, was heard a Meyer Sound system supplied by UltraSound.
The audio crew on the tour, supported by production manager Andres Albornoz and stage manager/audio tech Jorge Solorzano, included Jose A. Rivera Jr. at FOH and Jimmy Ibañez at monitors, both wielding Yamaha Rivage consoles. The UltraSound team supporting the tour included systems tech David Williams, assistant monitor engineer Eric Swanson and P.A. tech Sean McAdam.
The speaker setup at Chase Center included 44 Leo and 24 Lyon linear line array loudspeakers, 24 Leopard compact linear line array loudspeakers, 18 900‑LFC compact low-frequency control elements, 12 1100‑LFC low-frequency control elements, eight Ultra‑X40 compact loudspeakers, and eight Galileo Galaxy 816 Network Platforms.
“It was another awesome Marc Anthony tour using Meyer Sound via UltraSound,” said FOH engineer Jose Rivera. “I continue to be amazed with the linearity, detail, and depth of the LEO system.”
