K-array Thunder KS Subwoofer LineFive new models in the Thunder KS 2022 subwoofer line (offered in both active and passive versions) from K-array feature a new design approach that extends LF response and increases SPLs. The active Thunder-KS1 l 12” sub (or passive Thunder-KS1P 1) has four 1,500W amp outs with DSP for driving other subs. The 18” Thunder-KS2 1 (passive is Thunder-KS2P 1) has four 1,500W outs. The 21” Thunder-KS3 l (passive Thunder-KS3P 1) has four 2,500W outs. Shown above, the double-18 Thunder-KS4 l (also available as the passive Thunder-KS4P 1) has four 2,500W amp outs — all with DSP.

The KSC18P is a passive 18″ model in a shallow depth enclosure that’s ideal for cinema installs.

The passive-only, shallow-depth KSC18P 18” subwoofer is designed for cinema and theater installs.

All 2022 models support K-framework designer and remote control software for advanced loudspeakers system management and a K-array Connect mobile app offers easy wireless access to the DSP features. The onboard DSP on the active versions includes: Channel Grouping group controls over multiple channels; 3-and fully parametric input equalizer; 8-band fully parametric selectable output filters, with peaking, high-shelf, low-shelf, high-pass, low-pass, HP Butterworth and LP Butterworth; dynamic limiters; signal routing to freely assign input-to-output signal paths with level adjustment; and up to 230 ms of channel delay.

The Thunder 2022 Series subwoofers are built with choice Finnish birch plywood so they are not heavy and cumbersome but are incredibly strong and damage-resistant, making them ideal for audio rentals. Black, white and custom RAL (on demand) finishes are offered.
