Josh Beaudoin, 1974-2023

PHOENIX – The AV industry is shocked and saddened by the sudden and untimely passing of industry icon, Josh Beaudoin on June 8. He was 49.

Beaudoin was a highly respected and successful executive and consultant, having served at WJHW (Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams), Harman Professional, Clair Global Integration and Electromedia.

Born in January, 1974 in Aspen, Colorado, Beaudoin had longtime roots in the Centennial State, attending Heritage High School in Littleton, Colorado and studying engineering at Fort Lewis College in Durango.

He became director of engineering at Electromedia of Colorado, then took a position as consultant with WJHW, focusing on stadium, casino, and convention center designs. From there, Beaudoin moved to the Harman Music Group, first as a market manager in stadium and convention center sales, then as director of marketing for Harman’s BSS Audio and dbx groups, and later as director of business development for Harman International.

Beaudoin left Harman to return to WJHW, where he served as director of large assembly and large venue projects, and then became a senior VP and principal of the company, until last fall, when Boudoin moved to Clair Global Integration, taking the role of vice-president of business development.

Beaudoin had many friends and colleagues in the industry and will be missed dearly for his intelligence, humor and kindness. Josh is survived by his partner, Rebecca Dobbs; his three children, all of Phoenix; his father and stepmother; his mother and stepfather; two brothers and other family members.

Private services attended by family members were held at Shadow Mountain Mortuary in Phoenix, AZ. An informal gathering of Beaudoin friends and industry associates was also held in Orlando, FL, during InfoComm on June 14. A Celebration of Life is being planned for later this summer for all his friends and family.
