GUILDFORD, U.K. – EM Acoustics has been supporting the return to live events by offering free audio system “health checks” for venues whose gear has lain dormant and unused for more than a year. Along with support within the performance venues themselves, the EM Acoustics team recently visited Guildford’s Holy Trinity Church to assist The Boileroom with the livestream show they were producing featuring Newton Faulkner, pictured here.

More details from EM Acoustics (www.emacoustics.co.uk):

Ever so slowly, it is great to see live events start to return – we have all missed them. Renowned local live music venue The Boileroom have been an EM Acoustics system user for over a decade, and we are proud to support them as their system provider. They’ve just taken delivery of a brand new flagship Reference Series R10 system, upgrading the venue with the very best available in point source loudspeaker technology.

When the team at The Boileroom were producing a live streamed show with Newton Faulker at Guildford’s Holy Trinity Church earlier this month, EM Acoustics were delighted to step in and support the venue and show. The show was covered by a pair of R10 3-way precision passive point source loudspeakers, with ST-215 subwoofers underneath. Monitoring was handled by a pair of M-C15 coaxial stage monitors, with DQ20 advanced system amplifiers driving everything. As you would expect, the R10 made easy work of a challenging acoustic, ensuring every detail could be heard by the whole audience.

“The Boileroom is our local grass roots music venue, who have used our products successfully for over a decade” says Mike Wheeler, EM Acoustics’ co-founder and Operations Director. “They had already decided to upgrade to a system based around R10s for the venue when this show with Newton Faulkner came up. We were very pleased to support them for the show, and we were all keen to hear how the R10 performed in the historic Holy Trinity Church. A happy engineer and a happy audience speak volumes about how the R10 copes in challenging acoustic spaces. We hope this is finally the start of live events restarting and our industry beginning to get going again.”

“As a long term user of EM Acoustics systems we value their support and advice. It has been great working with them on our in-house system and on external events. We can certainly recommend EM Acoustics systems to other music venues.” Dom Frazer – Director at The Boileroom
