BOSTON – For the 2025 Boston Calling Festival, held at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Boston from May 23-25, Clearwing provided audio and lighting for two stages. Headliners included Luke Combs, Megan Moroney, Fall Out Boy, Avril Lavigne, Dave Matthews Band, Vampire Weekend, and many others.
A revolving turntable on the main stage made 10-minute changeovers between bands possible. To make this work, Clearwing provided two FOH and Monitor systems, named Alpha and Bravo, with two crew teams working seamlessly to ensure a smooth live show.
The management team included account executive Steve Harvey and crew chief Joe Cicak. Clearwing’s Robby Hegge led the deployment of the audio design from L-Acoustics. Audio teams were also set up for the Green Stage and Blue Stage.
The Green Stage audio crew included Robby Hegge and Eric Thomas at FOH, Shawn Khan at monitors, Ethan Sommer as monitor/delays tech, patch lead Andy Frey, patch techs Jon DaSilva, Ryan Tolzmann, Kevin Harper and Jake Chamley handling RF coordination.
The Green Stage audio setup included a pair of DiGiCo Quantum 338 and Quantum 225 consoles, 32 L-Acoustics K1, 24 K1SB, 40 K2, 32 KS28 subs, 6 ARCS II and 5 Syva for the VIP area. Monitors speakers included 16 d&b M2 wedges and 16 JBL M22 wedges along with a wireless/IEM setup using a system consisting of 16 Shure PSM 1000 and 16 Shure Axient Digital.
The Blue Stage audio crew included Kevin McKenzie at FOH, Jeff Schauer at monitors and patch tecks Felipe Nahum Garcia and Shannon Couillard. For gear, the Blue Stage PA included 24 L-Acoustics K2, 16 SB28 subs and 6 Kara. A pair of DiGiCo SD10 and Yamaha DM7 consoles were also available, along with 16 JBL M22 wedges, 8 Shure PSM 1000 IEMs and 8 Shure Axient Digital at monitors.
