Shure Wireless Provides Audio Support for 2018 Super Bowl Game

MINNEAPOLIS – ATK Audiotek and Professional Wireless Systems (PWS) used Shure wireless mics and IEMs for the NFL’s Super Bowl LII between the Philadelphia Eagles and Boston Patriots on Feb. 4, 2018. PWS, which handled system design and management for all wireless systems, used Axient Digital, Axient analog and Shure PSM 1000 IEMs during the game, held at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The RF team included Cameron Stuckey, Jim Van Winkle and Gary Trenda.

Allen & Heath Mixes Concert Co-Sponsored by Porsche and Rolling Stone Magazine

CARSON, CA – Porsche celebrated its new Panamera Hybrid automobile with a live concert held at the Porsche Experience Center in Carson, CA in December.  The concert, which featured Dave Navarro (formerly with Jane’s Addiction and RHCP), Mark McGrath (Sugar Ray) and other rockers performing as “The Royal Machines,” was mixed on an Allen & Heath dLive S Class with S7000 Surface, DM64 MixRack and DX32 Expander. Shawn London mixed FOH for the concert with sound and lighting systems provided by Los Angeles based Harmony Event Productions.

Grammy Premiere Ceremony Mixed on Yamaha Rivage PM10

NEW YORK – A Yamaha Rivage PM10 Digital Audio Console was used at the 2018 Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony, a three-hour event held on Jan. 28 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Independent mixer Erik von Ranson handled audio mix duties for in-theater audio for the live-streamed event, held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. just prior to the 60th Grammy Awards live broadcast later that evening. Firehouse Productions, which supplied the console for the “pre-Grammy” event, also supplied a Yamaha PM10 for the Grammy Awards ceremony staged in Madison Square Garden’s main venue that evening from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
