SSL L500 Tours with Avenged Sevenfold

FARGO, ND – Bob Strakele, FOH engineer for Avenged Sevenfold, has been driving a Solotech-supplied audio rig for the band’s latest tour on a Solid State Logic L500 Plus console. The band is touring in support of their most recent album, The Stage. On this tour, Strakele has around 48 inputs from stage, with about 23 of those from the drum kit. The rest of the set includes bass, two electric guitars, two acoustics, plus five vocal mics.

RESERVE, LA – East St. John High School’s football field got a much-needed upgrade after turning to Lion’s Roar Church Audio for an audio assist. Historic Pasadena Playhouse Goes Digital with Yamaha CL5

PASADENA, CA – Hollywood Sound Systems recently installed a Yamaha CL5 Digital Audio Console and two Rio3224-D and a Rio1608-D input/output boxes at the Pasadena Playhouse. The venue had previously made use of an analog board. The Yamaha CL5 is now the primary console for the theater’s main stage, which seats 640, including about 400 in the orchestra section and 240 in the mezzanine.

American Repertory Theater Installs Extensive Meyer Sound System

CAMBRIDGE, MA – The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) recently installed a Meyer Sound system consisting of a D-Mitri digital audio platform and 88 self-powered loudspeakers, including LINA line arrays and a surround setup using IntelligentDC technology. The new setup is part of the collaboration between A.R.T. sound manager Sam Lerner and Meyer Sound’s technical support staff that began with Lerner’s work as associate sound designer on Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812, which was staged at A.R.T. before moving to Broadway.
