alt-J Shows at Royal Albert Hall to Feature L-Acoustics’ L-ISA System

LONDON – alt-J announced that their two sold out shows at Royal Albert Hall later this month (Oct. 29-30) will be the first concerts in the U.K. to make use of L-Acoustics’ L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound technology. alt-J has been touring in support of their 2017 album, Relaxer, and the recently released remix, Reduxer. The band first utilized L-ISA at New York’s Forest Hills Stadium on June 15.

dBTechnologies to Present Newest Line Array at LDI

LAS VEGAS – Attendees to the LDI show this week will be getting an eyeful, of course, with all the latest lighting and video technologies on display. But those heading outside will also get an earful. That’s where dBTechnologies will be demonstrating its VIO Series on Oct. 19 and 20. Along with VIO L212 elements, attendees can also open their ears to the company’s DVX DM 12 TH and DVX DM 15 TH wedges and new VIO S218 subs.

Louisiana Church Installs PreSonus StudioLive Console and WorxAudio Speaker System

DARROW, LA – Word of Life Christian Center recently upgraded several of its facilities with the installation of PreSonus Audio’s WorxAudio and ULT series loudspeakers, a StudioLive Series III digital console, EarMix 16M AVB networked monitor mixers, and a SW5E 5-port AVB switch. GC Pro and I Am Music LLC from Baton Rouge handled the installation.

Tarek Atoui and Meyer Sound Push the Boundaries of Sound Art

MARFA, TX – For the third annual Marfa Sounding event, held earlier this year in the minimalist arts enclave of Marfa, TX, sound artist Tarek Atoui came all the way from Paris (France, not TX) to present attendees with art for the ears. As with many of Atoui’s recent workshops and improvisational concerts, he relied upon Meyer Sound gear in his efforts to push the boundary of sonic artistic expression.
