In Memoriam: Larry Melero, 50

LA MIRADA, CA – Touring instrument/amp tech Lauro “Larry” Melero died Sept. 22, 2018 of an apparent heart attack. He was 50. Melero took up guitar at the age of 10 and later played in various bands before industrial metal band Static-X hired him to go out on tour as a guitar tech. He went on to enhance the sound at shows for a long roster of artists including Cheap Trick, George Benson, Incubus, Gwen Stefani and Godsmack, among others.

Eighth Day Sound Provides Eight DiGiCo Consoles for Beyoncé and JAY-Z Tour

PASADENA, CA – For Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s 2018 On the Run II tour, Eighth Day Sound provided DiGiCo consoles at FOH and monitors – seven SD7 desks and one SD12.
