Tarek Atoui and Meyer Sound Push the Boundaries of Sound Art

MARFA, TX – For the third annual Marfa Sounding event, held earlier this year in the minimalist arts enclave of Marfa, TX, sound artist Tarek Atoui came all the way from Paris (France, not TX) to present attendees with art for the ears. As with many of Atoui’s recent workshops and improvisational concerts, he relied upon Meyer Sound gear in his efforts to push the boundary of sonic artistic expression.

LAS VEGAS – The votes are in for FRONT of HOUSE’s Hometown Hero competition for regional sound companies, and nominations are now open for the Parnelli Awards, with Parnelli Voting set to begin in early November. My Father’s Place Returns to Long Island’s North Shore with Unusual Danley Sound System Setup

ROSLYN, NY – An updated version of the famed 1970s-1980s-era venue, My Father’s Place, recently opened not far from the original bowling alley location inside the ballroom of the Roslyn Hotel with a custom Danley sound system. The original owner, Michael “Eppy” Epstein, is joined by co-principals Alex Ewen and Dan Kellachan. They turned to Alan Thompson, co-founder of MetroSound, and Bill Danilczyk at Eastern Stage Productions, for an unusual setup that has Danley SH69’s positioned in each corner of the room.
