Fulcrum Acoustic Awarded Patent for Passive Cardioid Speaker

ROCHESTER, NY and WHITINSVILLE, PA – Fulcrum Acoustic, LLC has been awarded a U.S. patent on a proprietary technology developed to overcome the excessive rear low frequency radiation that is a major performance challenge of many loudspeakers. The new patent, formally titled “Passive Cardioid Speaker, No. 10,123,111 B2”, was granted to inventor David W. Gunness, Fulcrum Acoustic co-founder and vice president of R&D. In Memoriam: Bob Schulein, 76

SCHAUMBURG, IL – Bob Schulein, an audio engineer who had been involved with the design, development, manufacturing, and marketing of electro-acoustical products for over 40 years, died Jan. 1, 2019 after a long illness. Schulein was a fellow and past president of the International Audio Engineering Society and prolific inventor, with a wealth of patents to his credit. He was 76.
