Eight Inductees to the NAMM TECnology Hall of Fame Announced

ANAHEIM, CA – Eight major audio inventions, including Leo Beranek’s 1943 anechoic audio test chamber (pictured here) will be inducted to the TECnology Hall of Fame (THOF). The inventions span the 1940s through today and will be honored Jan. 26 during a ceremony at the 2019 NAMM Show. The event, presented by the NAMM Museum of Making Music, will be hosted by George Petersen, THOF founder and director and editor of FOH magazine.

Parnelli Honorees to Speak at Pro Production Sessions during NAMM 2019

ANAHEIM, CA – FRONT of HOUSE, PLSN and Stage Directions are once again presenting a series of must-attend Pro Production Sessions to be featured at the Anaheim Hilton during NAMM 2019, which runs from Jan. 24-26. The In Conversation With… interview series will include Parnelli honorees Chris Adamson and Yvan Miron along with other industry luminaries including Butch Allen and Kevin Lyman.

Scotland-Based DM Audio Joins Adamson Rental Network

EDINBURGH, Scotland – Adamson Systems welcomed Edinburgh-based DM Audio to the company’s rental partner network. DM Audio recently purchased an S10 line array system from Adamson’s Edinburgh-based re-seller, Live Systems. The system includes S10 line array loudspeakers with S119 subs powered by Lab.gruppen PLM20K44 amps. Tom Muccio Relies on Sommer Cable for Multicore Production with an “Old School” Touch

WINTER HAVEN, FL – Veteran sound mixer and FOH engineer Tom Muccio has been building his own audio multicore cables, commonly known as “snakes,” since the 60s. Currently, he operates his own “Old School Sound” location sound reinforcement company, as well as handling tech support and sales at TAI Audio in Orlando, FL. True to his “old school” roots, Muccio still fabricates the aluminum housing for his snakes.
