Meyer Sound CAL System Installed at The Classical Academy

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Second Opinion Audio installed a new audio system for the new 635-seat theater designed by Jim Cook at LKA Partners for The Classical Academy, a K-12 charter school in Colorado Springs, CO. The system makes use of Meyer Sound CAL 64 column array loudspeakers. Equipped with beam steering and beam splitting capabilities, the discreet CAL loudspeakers are being credited for clear articulation for spoken word and amplified events within a relatively reverberant room. Bob Langlois and Daryl Porter of SOA designed and installed the audio, video and stage lighting systems for the school.

NJ Church Upgrades with PreSonus CDL Series Sound System

SEWELL, NJ – Horizon AVL designed and deployed a new PreSonus CDL sound system for Fellowship Bible Church, the first full CDL series deployment in the U.S. The system design from Horizon AVL CEO Joshua Kell for the 1,000-plus-capacity sanctuary includes six PreSonus CDL12 loudspeakers augmented by two CDL18s active subwoofers.

DiGiCo Acquires KLANG:technologies

CHESSINGTON, U.K. – DiGiCo, part of the Audiotonix family that already includes leading audio brands Allen & Heath, Calrec, DiGiGrid and Solid State Logic, announced Dec. 17 that it had recently acquired KLANG:technologies. “Combining the control of the KLANG system into the DiGiCo worksurface will allow I-IEM and 3D personal monitoring to be a part of an engineer’s natural work flow,” noted Austin Freshwater, GM of DiGiCo. James Gordon, CEO of Audiotonix, and Roman Scharrer, CEO of KLANG, also welcomed the move.
