In Memoriam: Louis “Louie” Procaccino, 68

SAN DIEGO – Louis “Louie” Procaccino, a production manager who was dubbed the “MacGyver” of the local live music scene by the San Diego Union-Tribune for his ability to make things happen, died Sept. 9 at age 68. “Everybody who passed through San Diego on tour from 1975 on dealt with Louie,” noted production manager Kent Black. “He was quite the local character — like Steve Gudis was in Nashville.”

Broadway Theaters In New York City Extend Vaccination and Mask Requirement for Everyone in the Venue

New York—October 1, 2021—The Broadway League announced today that the owners and operators of all 41 Broadway theatres in New York City will continue to require vaccinations for audience members, as well as performers, backstage crew, and theatre staff, for all performances through the end of the year. NASHVILLE – For the Gibson Garage Experience Center, Nashville-based integrator Systems Innovation installed a complete QSC solution, including a Q-SYS Core 110f processor at the system’s heart to distribute audio. The stage, featuring powered K12.2 and K10.2 loudspeakers with KS212C cardioid subwoofers, can receive audio from the Core or the TouchMix-30 Pro digital mixer.

Newly Launched YouTube Theater Comes Embedded with L-Acoustics

INGLEWOOD, CA – The new three-level, 6,000-seat YouTube Theater near SoFi Stadium in the Los Angeles area has been equipped with an L-Acoustics K2/Kara system specified by Idibri and integrated by 3G. The theater’s main left and right line arrays each comprise 15 K2 enclosures over six Kara II, with a center array of nine K2 over six Kara II.
