Tentative Three-Year Agreement between IATSE and AMPTP Averts Nationwide Strike

LOS ANGELES – A nationwide strike that would have started Oct. 18 was averted Oct. 16 when IATSE reached a tentative three-year agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). A key issue in the dispute was on Basic and Videotape Agreements affecting 40,000 film and television workers represented by 13 West Coast IATSE local unions.

Cleveland Production Company Reports Loss of Gear; Theft Follows Familiar Pattern

CLEVELAND, OH – Rock the House Group in the Cleveland, OH area appears to be the latest sound rental company to have had thousands of dollars worth of audio gear stolen. And the suspected perpetrator, captured here on surveillance cameras from an earlier heist, has apparently been able to keep using the same fake name – Kelvin Westin from Lineage Studios in California – to dupe his victims.
