Max Pezzali Tours Italy with DiGiCo Quantum7 at Monitors

ITALY – Noted Italian singer-songwriter Max Mezzali has been touring Italy since March 2023 with a DiGiCo Quantum7 console at monitors. Sound engineer Michele Nicolino, who has also mixed monitors for Mannarino, Willie Peyote, Michele Bravi, Bowland, and II Teatro degli Orrori, credited the Agorà-supplied Quantum7 for its reliability, functional flexibility and sound quality.

DOVER, OH – NewPointe Community Church’s Ben Abbott and MediaNet AV’s Alex Earnhardt worked to enhance the listening experience at the main church campus in Dover, OH. While a total of six churches serve 4,000 weekly congregants, close to half of them attend services in Dover. The upgrade added 24S-D, 44S, Bi6, 10S-D and 8S speakers to the existing system at the main church, making use of d&b’s Soundscape to optimize the sound.

Avid Technology to be Acquired by an STG Affiliate for $1.4 Billion

BURLINGTON, MA – On Aug. 9, Avid announced that it had agreed to be acquired by an affiliate of STG in an all-cash transaction of approximately $1.4 billion, inclusive of Avid’s net debt. Avid CEO/president Jeff Rosica and board chairman John P. Wallace welcomed the move, as did William Chisholm, managing partner of STG. “We look forward to leveraging our experience as software investors to accelerate Avid’s growth trajectory,” Chisholm said.

TLC and Shaggy’s ‘Hot Summer Nights Tour’ Features Meyer Sound Panther System

NORTH AMERICA – Major Tom provided a Meyer Sound system to support TLC and Shaggy’s “Hot Summer Nights Tour,” which visited 26 cities in the U.S. and Canada in June and July. Parker Vandenberg and the Major Tom team specified a Panther-centered system that also made use of Leopard, 1100-LFC and Ultra-X40 enclosures for the P.A. system, with MJF-210 elements at monitors.
