CHICAGO – Audiologist Jenna Paley has joined Sensaphonics in a business development role, to promote hearing wellness through the company’s advanced IEM designs. Paley will bring her own perspective and expertise to the company’s ongoing mission to help musicians maintain their hearing wellness through knowledge, techniques and products designed for high-impact monitoring with minimal risk of hearing damage. She will promote hearing wellness with outreach to industry organizations, as well as visiting touring and local artists at venues and rehearsal facilities.

WHITINSVILLE, MA  – Paul Lamarre has joined the Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) sales team, where he will manage sales and support for future and existing customers in the Southern US. Prior to joining EAW, Lamarre was regional sales manager for EDA Pro AV, based in Duluth, GA and before that, served as general manager of Sam Ash Music in the Nashville area. He will be based in Atlanta.

BANGKOK, Thailand –  Siam Music Yamaha Co., Ltd. signs exclusive distribution partnership for Thailand with the Adam Hall Group. The partnership is a unique one, in which a leading Japanese brand in Thailand joins forces with a German manufacturer to serve the pro audio and event technology industry. The initial idea started when Dr Perawat Chookhiatti, managing director, Siam Music Yamaha Co., Ltd, met Chandan Mahtani, managing director, Adam Hall Asia Pte at the Pro Light & Sound in Shanghai in 2015 and had a brief discussion about the possibilities of distribution of Adam Hall products in Thailand.

VANCOUVER – Brittaney Geisler has joined Radial Engineering Ltd.’s Vancouver-based team. Geisler will focus on high level product design, mechanical and graphical design of new products, embedded software design, digital audio design and high fidelity analog audio design.

CHINA – Adamson’s Chinese distributor Real Music recently launched a national education and demonstration program to promote the new S-Series to show service providers in the nation, resulting in 12 new S-Series partners in the region. David Dohrmann, Adamson’s technical director Asia Pacific, heads up in-depth training this month for these newest customers in Xi’an and Beijing, and expresses excitement for the next phase of the partnership with Real Music.

MARCOUSSIS, France –  L-Acoustics has appointed Josh Maichele and Jesse Stevens as the manufacturer’s newest North American regional applications engineers for the install and rental markets. Maichele and Stevens are responsible for providing active technical support and expertise for L-Acoustics’ Certified Providers, end users and designers in the Midwest and Northeast regions of US and Canada, respectively. Based in New York, Stevens has 15 years of experience as a sound designer, engineer and mixer for Broadway musicals, national tours and large-scale special events. Maichele, based in Michigan, has 20 years of experience mixing and designing sound systems.

BEAVERTON, OR – Biamp Systems has appointed Justin Stout as Midwest regional manager and Brent Bowman as applications engineer in its North American offices. Prior to joining Biamp, Stout was the director of market development for Cambridge Sound Management. Bowman most recently worked as a senior engineer for Baker Audio Visual.

BEAVERTON, OR – Biamp Systems’ has promoted Matt Czyzewski to president and CEO as Steve Metzger leaves the company after seven years of leadership. Czyzewski, with more than 20 years at Biamp, inherits a new factory with expanded capacity and a strong management team positioned to carry the business forward just as it begins shipping their new video platform, TesiraLux, in late January 2017.

SOLON, OH––CAD Audio has appointed Greg Shade as western regional sales manager. In this new position, Shade will be responsible for all CAD, Astatic and AIMM dealers in the Western US in terms of MI, pro audio and installed sound. He will oversee the company’s independent rep firms and will be the direct point of contact between CAD dealers in the region.

WHITINSVILLE, MA – Nancy Dias has been named to Eastern Acoustic Works’ newly-created position of customer experience coordinator. Dias started working for EAW in 2014 in production, moving into the service department in 2016. She reports directly to Rusty Waite, VP of global sales for EAW.

NEW YORK – Audio industry veteran Dr. Richard C. Cabot will manage AES standards in the new year. He fills the role soon to be vacated by Mark Yonge, standards manager since 2001, who has announced his retirement following the 2017 AES International Convention in Berlin. Cabot has years of involvement with AES as a former president since its early years. He was one of the founders of Audio Prevision and developed their digital audio measurement technology.
