WARSAW – Audio manufacturer Alcons Audio has appointed Polish audio supplier Aplauz Sp. Ltd.  as its new distributor for Poland. The two companies have combined efforts in the past year, collaborating on a shoot-out with other top loudspeaker brands, and demos on its pro-ribbon technology. “Aplauz has established itself as one of Poland’s leading and most trusted audio suppliers,” says Alcons co-founder Tom Back. “Bringing new technology to the professional market is not only about a great product, it’s about the people who locally put their reputation behind those products.”

NEW DELHI – Community Professional Loudspeakers has appointed New Delhi-based Acoustic Arts Pvt. Ltd as its distributor for India.  Acoustic Arts has been using Community products not only for its large scale all-weather loudspeakers, but for its architectural loudspeakers for “difficult acoustic environments, which is a great need in India,” according to Siddharth Chhibber, Acoustic Arts managing director. The partnership was effective Jan. 1, 2017.

EMINENCE, KY – Eminence has appointed industry veteran Damon Waller as European sales manager. Waller previously served as international sales manager at Trace Elliot, and before that, as managing director of Orange Amplification. The company says his background in international sales, brand marketing and positioning, sourcing and product conception make him the ideal choice to carry the Eminence brand forward in Europe.

NILES, IL—Shure Inc. has promoted Bruce Skof to vice president and chief financial officer. Skof joined Shure in 2000 and has held many positions during his tenure in corporate finance. In his new role, he will be responsible for all key financial and investment matters for Shure Inc. and its subsidiaries.

AMSTERDAM – Atlona and Sennheiser have formed a Technology Alliance. The strategic partnership, part of the Sennheiser Global Alliances program, provides an interoperable solution across Atlona’s soft codec conferencing system and Sennheiser’s wireless conference system. The announement will be made at ISE 2017 in Amsterdam this week.

Badala will develop the market presence and independent representative network, and assist in the marketing strategy for both the North American and South American markets. AM Pro Audio has been assigned Hawaii. Audio Source has been assigned to the Pacific Northwest region of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska.

EDISON, NJ –  RCF has appointed Tarik Solangi as vice president of sales and marketing for RCF USA, promoted from his previous role as national sales manager. Solangi’s years in the industry also include time as the owner of a production company and recording studio, and job roles as tour coordinator and manager.
