SANT’OMERO,  ITALY – Proel UK appoints Richard Powell as sales manager, taking over sales responsibility for its Axiom professional audio division. Powell has 20 years’ experience in sales management up to director level across international, commercial and retail markets.

NILES, IL — Mark Brunner has been appointed vice president of Shure’s new department related to global public relations, government affairs and corporate communications. His new role will focus on consolidating and extending Shure’s industry advocacy, philanthropy and history preservation activities.

MITTWEIDA, GERMANY – Luca Giaroli and Lorenzo Sassi have joined DirectOut as business development managers. Giaroli brings 25 years of industry experience to the role. Sassi also grew up inside the industry, most recently working with Outline.

ROCHESTER, NY – Jim Berry and Mike Shapiro have joined the engineering team of audio interface manufacturer Whirlwind. Berry is an experienced electrial engineer, and Shapiro is now product development manager.

MARCOUSSIS, FRANCE – Alex Soto joins L-Acoustics as applications engineer to support the rental and installation markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. Working for the most high-profile sound providers in the region, Soto brings to the company experience in all areas of sound production, with global touring artists such as the Rolling Stones, Maroon 5 and many more.

WEST MIDLANDS, UK – Central Presentations Limited (CPL) has launched a new sales division, headed by Sam Thomas, to focus on the sales of selected product lines which CPL also carries in its rental inventory. The new company will be linked to the set-up of a dedicated Training Centre, which is planned when CPL moves into a new purpose-built warehouse and office space later in the year.
