SEOUL, South Korea – Meyer Sound has appointed Ingang Audio Co., Ltd. of Seoul as its new principal distributor for most verticals in the fast-growing South Korean market. Ingang Audio will assume primary responsibility for building a stronger network of Meyer Sound dealers and system integrators in Korea, and for connecting customers to Meyer Sound through a more direct and transparent relationship.

JAKARTA – Community Professional Loudspeakers is pleased to announce the appointment of Jakarta-based PT. Goshen Swara Indonesia as its distributor for Indonesia.

SOONN s.r.o. Pro Audio Systems was recently named the exclusive distributor for K-array products in the Czech Republic.

ALAMEDA, CA – Clear-Com has appointed Simon Browne to vice president of product management. Browne – part of the Clear-Com organization for 28 years – will continue to oversee product brand development, lifecycle management and positioning for all Clear-Com and now the Trilogy Communications products.

NEWBURY, CA – Matt Lawrence joins American Music & Sound as the new Western Regional Sales Manager for Allen & Heath. Lawrence brings experience as a working sound engineer on global tours with artists such as Fifth Harmony, Lauren Hill and more.

BEAVERTON, OR – Jody Thomas has joined Biamp Systems as the company’s new director of business development. Most recently Thomas was president of Emergent Communications Technology, a company he founded in 2007 to focus on emerging vertical technology applications and channel strategies for manufacturers in the commercial AV market. Active in the AV industry since 1989, he has volunteered his time and expertise as an educator, board member, and council member for InfoComm International, NSCA and CEDIA.

TORONTO — Yorkville Sound named Kira Haden as the company’s new marketing and communications manager. Haden, who reports to VP of sales and marketing Jeff Cowling, will develop strategic digital campaigns, enhance Yorkville’s brand internationally, generate trade-specific marketing material and help with Yorkville’s overall comprehensive strategy.

MOSCOW — In response to growing sales in Northern Europe, Meyer Sound has appointed two new distributors in the region. Moscow-based Major Sound is the new distributor for Russia, while Sonus Exsertus, based in Vilnius, Lithuania, will represent Meyer Sound in its home country as well as the other Baltic states of Latvia and Estonia. LONGMONT, CO — DPA Microphones annoiced that Evan MacKenzie has joined the copany as its new Marketing and Communications Manager for the United States.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA –  Loudspeaker manufacturer Renkus-Heinz has appointed Joe Fustolo as Eastern Regional Sales Manager. Fustolo, who joined Renkus-Heinz in 2016, is an experienced engineer with roots in live and installed sound. His extensive work in loudspeaker and audio technology includes more than a decade providing applications support for Eastern Acoustic Works.

CHESSINGTON, SURREY, UK – Austin Freshwater has joined DiGiCo as its general manager. Freshwater has spent the previous 10 years at Canon, working his way up from the sales team to sales director for UK and Ireland.
