Sound Space Vision named Mike Elliott director. He will now serve in that role at the theatre planning and acoustics consultancy formed from Anne Minors Performance Consultants (AMPC) and Sound Space Design, working along with both Anne Minors and Bob Essert. AMPC was founded in 1996 and Sound Space Design got its start in 2002. Elliott has been with AMPC since 2008.

BACKNANG, Germany – d&b audiotechnik promoted Frank Bothe to chief technology officer and named Jan Biermann to Bothe’s previous post as head of research and development. Bothe will now focus on the company’s medium- to long-term technology strategy. As head of R&D, Biermann will be responsible for implementing product development projects. He reports to d&b managing director Markus Strohmeier.

BERKELEY, CA and BROCKVILLE, Ontario – Meyer Sound has announced that GerrAudio Distribution, Inc., which had served as Meyer Sound’s Canadian distributor over a prior term spanning nearly three decades, will resume responsibility for design, technical support, sales and servicing of Meyer Sound products throughout Canada. Established in 1977, GerrAudio is headquartered in Brockville, Ontario, with additional sales and technical support locations in Quebec and Western Canada.

DUBAI – GEFCO Systems has been named the exclusive distributor for Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The announcement was made by EAW President and General Manager TJ Smith.

ANAHEIM, CA – VCI Event Technology named Anthony Stevens vice president of business development. Stevens, who comes to VCI from AV Concepts and, before that, Swank Audio Visuals’ event services division, will lead the company’s national sales and business development initiatives from their Anaheim, CA headquarters.
