FOXBOROUGH, MA —NFL’s New England Patriots’ Hall at Patriot Place, adjacent to Gillette Stadium, has an array of interactive and immersive multimedia exhibits and an AV system engineered, installed and supplied by Electrosonic. The installation in the 36,000-square-foot facility, which includes sensor-triggered audio tracks, was project-managed by Gary Barnes. “The results were incredible,” he said

TORONTO — Score Media Inc. recently went live with a new multi-million dollar studio for their sports network, available in 6.4 million homes. The technical operations staff selected Lectrosonics wireless systems for their programs, which include Court Surfing (NBA highlights) and The Score Tonight sports news program. The gear was purchased through Trew Audio, and the Toronto office of Applied Electronics handled installation of the equipment.

MILWAUKEE — Supporting their ninth studio album, Death Magnetic, Metallica is hitting arenas across the U.S. and Canada in an in-the-round production that includes Apogee X-Series converters for both A/D and D/A conversion. Thunder Audio of Taylor, Mich. chose an all-digital drive system setup with eight Apogee converters for 64 channels of I/O.

RALEIGH, NC — Meredith College was looking for a system that could handle stage productions and 5.1 surround for movies for its 620-seat Jones Auditorium. It opted for a Danley Loudspeaker system, installed by Frank Locklear, AV specialist for Gainesville, Ga.-based dB Audio & Video.

VENTURA, CA —Audinate has appointed Lee Ellison as CEO. Ellison’s appointment coincides with the Australia-based company's establishment of a U.S.-based headquarters including sales, marketing and customer support. Ellison has worked in a variety of technology sectors, most recently as CEO of SustainOne, a strategic consulting company. Prior to that, Ellison was sales and marketing officer of Dilithium Networks and general manager of Glenayre’s wireless business unit.

PIPERSVILLE, PA — SurgeX has merged its North American operations with Electronic Systems Protection, Inc. (ESP). LAFAYETTE, La. —Louisiana-based Gulf Coast Sound (GCS) and consultants Acoustic Dimensions (Dallas) recently installed an Electro-Voice XLC sound system into the Cajundome in Lafayette, La. The 12,086-seat Cajundome is the Lafayette area’s premiere venue for regional and national concert tours, the Louisiana State Boys Basketball Tournament, and also serves as the home for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s men and women’s basketball teams. 

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Riding high on virtually every category of Billboard’s music charts, having won her first American Music Award for Favorite Female Artist (Country Music) and outselling just about every other artist with her new album, Fearless, Taylor Swift is positively red hot. Swift recently performed to a sell-out crowd of 9,500 at the University of Tennessee’s McKenzie Arena with an Aero line array setup from DAS Audio.
