SACRAMENTO, CA — The long-shuttered 1950s Woolworth building in downtown Sacramento has gotten new life as the Cosmopolitan entertainment hub, including the Cosmopolitan Cabaret musical theatre, a 200-seat venue with audio delivered by a compact Meyer Sound M1D line array loudspeaker system.

WILKESBORO, NC — MerleFest celebrated its 22nd year with four days of music over 11 stages: Americana, Austin Songwriting, Cabin, Creekside, Dance, The Pit, Watson, Walker Center, Hillside, Little Pickers and The Lounge, with a couple of  "just get up and pick" stages, all on the grounds of Wilkes Community College.

NEW YORK —Agnieszka Roginska has been named chair of the 127th AES Convention, set to take place Oct. 9-12 at New York’s Javits Center. Roger Furness, AES executive director, who made the announcement, called Roginska “a detail-oriented leader with exceptional people skills.”
