Skully’s Music-Diner Upgrades with QSC KLA Series Line Array

COLUMBUS, OH – Hip hop and rock night spot Skully’s Music-Diner has upgraded its sound system with a new QSC KLA Series active line array loudspeaker system purchased from local dealer Sound Ideas, Inc. Luke Wells, the venue’s house engineer, credited the KLA system for significantly improving the sound quality as well as the coverage.

Thunder Audio Orders JBL Professional VTX Line Array Series

DETROIT — Thunder Audio’s Paul Owen got a chance to hear a demo of Harman JBL VTX V25 line arrays shortly after the product was announced. Impressed by the gear and, in particular, the JBL D2 Dual Driver incorporated within the V25, Thunder Audio purchased 56 V25 loudspeakers and 24 VTX S28 subwoofers, among other Harman gear.

LEESBURG, FL – For the 16th consecutive year, the city of Leesburg celebrated music and motorcycles with its annual Bikefest. The three day motorcycle and music event, which ran April 27-29, 2012, featured a motorcycle rally and performances by numerous musical acts, including the rock bands FireHouse and Seven Mary Three. NEW YORK — IATSE, the stagehands union, has created two new divisions and re-organized another. Along with its new Division of Education and Training, IATSE added a Broadcast Division. IATSE has also moved its Organizing Division into its Stagecraft Division—all of its other divisions had their own organization division, so this move eliminates some redundancies, but ensures each arm of IATSE has a team dedicated to organizing.

The installation includes speakers from Meyer Sound, a Soundcraft Vi1 Console, a Clear-Com communications system, QSC amplifiers, a Mackie 1202-VLZ3 compact mixer and cabling infrastructure and stage boxes.
