Gemini Sound Provides EAW KF740 Main Stage Rig at EdgeFest 22

FRISCO, TX — Gemini Lighting, Sound and Video deployed the new EAW KF740 Zero Degree Adapter to “flat-front” the top four modules of each main array for EdgeFest 22, which was staged at the FC Dallas Stadium here April 22, 2012. The festival featured performances by The Black Keys, Garbage, Cake, Cage the Elephant, Arctic Monkeys, Switchfoot, Evanescence, The Ting Tings and Dead Sara.

Albuquerque Church Solves Analog Wireless Issues with Line 6 Digital

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Faced with audio issues ranging from sound quality to interference, Central Seventh Day Adventist Church here decided to switch from conventional wireless microphones to Line 6 XD-V digital wireless. As Pastor Don Gibson recalls, “Our systems were pretty old, and we started having issues, especially after the FCC rules changed. Then the Line 6 systems solved all our problems.”

Coachella 2013 Advanced Tickets Sell Out

INDIO, CA — Goldenvoice, the AEG subsidiary that organizes the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, has not released a confirmed lineup of performers at next year’s festival, which will have the same double-weekend format as this year’s event, running from April 12-14 and April 19-21, 2013. But that didn’t stop buyers from snapping up all of the $349 general admission passes and $799 VIP passes within hours of when they became available on May 17.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — In preparation for the May 18 launch of their 2012 Living Things tour, Linkin Park hired Weather Decision Technologies (WDT), a Norman, OK-based storm forecasting service with a staff of 75, to provide a color-coded weather emergency plan along with on-site weather experts for outdoor shows.
