AUSTIN, TX — The focal point for Anglophiles at the 27th annual SXSW festival was once again the British Music Embassy lineup. This year’s festival featured the Wytches, Slaves, Dinosaur Pile-Up and dozens of other U.K. bands. ASHEVILLE, NC — Moogfest, the electronic technology, art, science and music festival named for analog synth pioneer Bob Moog, took place here for five days in late April with performances at more than 10 venues. For audio reinforcement at US Cellular Center’s 2,431-seat Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, which served as the festival’s primary stage, Thunder Audio provided its recently acquired L-Acoustics K2 loudspeaker system.
