Stone Pony Summer Stage Chooses RCF for Sound Reinforcement

Asbury Park, NJ – The Stone Pony performance venue has chosen the RCF TTL55-A large format line array system for their Summer Stage Concert Series. The system will feature 16 TTL55-A three-way line array modules comprised of two 12” low-frequency, one 10” midrange and three 1.5” neodymium compression drivers flown eight per side. 9 TTS-56A 6800-watt double 21” subwoofers set up in cardioid format will be groundstacked for low frequency support.

CHAMBERSBURG, PA — Morris Light & Sound recently completed an audio upgrade at the King Street Church here. The Nashville, TN-based company provided gear including  a NEXO GEO S12 line array (five GEO S12s per side and two RS18 Ray Subs flown in the center) along with a Yamaha CL5 digital audio console at FOH and two Rio 3224-D input/output located in an amp rack behind the stage.

Harman Professional Opens New Technology Center In Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY — Harman Professional recently announced the opening of its Technology Center here. The 50,000-square-foot facility employs 165 and houses the company’s Signal Processing Business Unit Professional Systems Development and Integration Group, responsible for HiQnet networking software, along with the Corporate Technology Group and the Harman Professional Training Center. The facility is located at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains in the high-tech South Jordan RiverPark area of Salt Lake City.

In Memoriam: Bob Tudor, PreSonus CTO

BATON ROUGE, LA — PreSonus announced that its chief technology officer, Bob Tudor died May 23. Tudor, born in 1967, was a child prodigy. He attended both the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Berklee College of Music before combining both his passion for music and technology at Mackie Designs, then SaneWave, his own venture. With SaneWave, Tudor collaborated on projects with many audio manufacturers. He joined PreSonus full time in 2008.

GC Pro and Behringer Appear to be Parting Ways

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA — On May 16, Guitar Center Professional, based here, reportedly gave direct notice to Music Group that the retail chain would no longer be carrying its Behringer products in their stores for the foreseeable future. On May 21, Music Group/Behringer responded with a press release acknowledging that the companies would be parting ways.
