High Output Inc. Provides VUE Audiotechnik Gear for Boston’s HUBweek

BOSTON – For the fourth annual HUBweek, a gathering of future-minded thinkers staged in Boston from Oct. 8-14, High Output Inc. provided VUE Audiotechnik line arrays and monitors for HUBweek’s Center Stage, the festival’s main presentation and performance venue. Jeremy Stark, who served as High Output’s project manager, lauded the speaker systems for sound quality and ease of implementation.

L-Acoustics K1 and K2 Rise Up on the Revolution 3 Tour

PHOENIX – Alt rockers Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, and The Cult joined forces and performed hit songs from the 1980s and 1990s on a six-week, 20-date tour of North America, titled the “Revolution 3 Tour.” Escondido, CA-based Sound Image provided a full L-Acoustics K1/K2 loudspeaker package at the request of the three bands’ FOH engineers – James “Hootsie” Huth (Stone Temple Pilots), Steve McGuire (The Cult), and Jon Sword (Bush).

In Memoriam: Clyde Bodell, 84

CHARLOTTE, MI — Clyde Edward Bodell, the founder of Stage and Sports Audio of Charlotte, MI, died Dec. 18, 2018. He was 84. The founder of Bodell Enterprises, now known as Stage and Sports Audio, Bodell juggled multiple jobs during his career, including work for GM and Klaiss Electric, while also doing audio for large shows throughout the Midwest over more than a 50-year span.

In Memoriam: Jeff Alexander, 56

ESSEX, CT – Jeff Alexander, a longtime sales and marketing executive with Sennheiser and Neumann USA, died Dec. 17, 2018 at age 56. After joining Neumann as a product manager, he was promoted to national sales manager, then sales and marketing director for Sennheiser-distributed brands. Widely known and respected, he was also admired for his courage after sustaining serious injuries in an accident while riding a motor scooter at age 50.

One Love Malibu Relief Charity Event Supported by Focusrite RedNet

LOS ANGELES – Audio engineer Joe Wohlmuth (pictured here) used two Focusrite RedNet HD32R 32-channel HD Dante network bridges to record “One Love Malibu,” a concert held Dec. 2 to raise funds for those affected by the Woolsey Fire that raged in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties from Nov. 8-21, 2018. The eight-hour event featured performances by Katy Perry, Alanis Morissette, Robin Thicke, Macy Gray, Natasha Bedingfield and Gwen Stefani.
