NAMM Announces New Leadership for the Executive Committee

CARLSBAD, CA – The NAMM board of directors has elected a new executive committee to continue the organization’s legacy of service to NAMM members and the industry at large. In a vote at the recent board meeting, Tom Sumner, president of Yamaha Corp. of America (and previously NAMM’s vice chair), was named chair of the NAMM board of directors. The board also elected Chris White, president of White House of Music, as vice chair, where he will serve in an ex officio role as chair of The NAMM Foundation board; Barbara Wight, chief financial officer of Taylor Guitars, as treasurer; and Whitney Brown Grisaffi, president of Ted Brown Music, as secretary of the executive committee.Read More »NAMM Announces New Leadership for the Executive Committee

Behind the Scenes Announces 2023 Holiday Cards

LRLR Auction Unique Quilt to Benefit Behind the Scenes

USA – The Long Reach Long Riders hosted an auction to benefit Behind the Scenes at their 20th Anniversary Ride’s celebratory banquet earlier this month. The auction itself was quite special, including only one item, a detailed quilt incorporating t-shirts from every charity ride hosted by the LRLR over their 20-year history. Rain or Shine, DiGiCo’s Quantum225 Mixes Shows at the Beshore Performance Hall in Joplin, MO

JOPLIN, MO – The new $19-million, 37,000-square-foot Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex opened in Joplin, MO last November. The performing arts complex includes the Beshore Performance Hall, a 400-seat theater with a shared stage for both indoor and outdoor performances. In May, Total Electronics Contracting (TEC) added a DiGiCo Quantum225 console at FOH.

Clair Global Welcomes Sound Image to the Team

LITITZ, PA – Clair Global announced June 30 that fellow industry leader, Sound Image, will join the Clair Global Group. Sound Image CEO, Dave Shadoan, who has led the organization since the late 1970s, and recently appointed Sound Image president, Jesse Adamson, welcomed the move, as did Troy Clair, president and CEO of Clair Global.
