UK – Skan supported 1990s music icons Pulp with control gear for their orchestra-enhanced summer reunion shows across the UK and Ireland, providing FOH engineer Barak Koren and monitor engineer Ilias Andrianatos with an Avid Venue S6L 32D and a DiGiCo Quantum 5, respectively. For the band’s back-to-back homecoming shows at Sheffield Arena, Skan also added a d&b KSL P.A. system into the mix.

CJD Productions Tours with Custom dLive Build

USA – When sound engineer Chris DiCorpo made the switch to Allen & Heath’s dLive platform, he already understood the concept of mixing without a full-fledged dLive control surface. DiCorpo’s new custom rig, which he calls the “CJD Al2000,” starts with a Mac Mini that runs dLive Director, manages the Waves SoundGrid network, and allows multitrack recording and virtual soundcheck with his DAW.

Pantera Performs with Outline Newton

NORTH AMERICA – Since Pantera returned to the live stage after a two-decade hiatus in late 2022, the reformulated metal band has toured across North America and also joined the U.S. shows on Metallica’s M72 world tour. In Memoriam: Spectrum Sound Co-Founder Bev Porter, 1956-2023

MOUNT JULIET, TN – Beverly “Bev” Porter, the co-founder and CFO of Nashville-based Spectrum Sound, died Aug. 15, 2023. She was 67. Porter, who met her husband, Ken, at Belmont University, married in 1978. The two then founded Spectrum Sound in 1979. Along with her husband Ken, she is survived by four daughters, a granddaughter, two siblings and many friends.
