SQUAW VALLEY, CA – Imagine finding a way to get 13,000 pounds of PA system up the side of a mountain. That’s exactly what Alex Moran of Spider Ranch Productions of Calif., had to accomplish when he was asked to provide the sound for the Jeep King of the Mountain World Pro Ski and Snowboard Championships.  Alex provided a full complement of McCauley loudspeakers including MONARC MLA3’s, MS3’s, SM72’s and McCauley Sound’s new M88 subwoofer for what’s been referred to as “the loudest show on snow.”

Scottsdale, AZ – Bud Bowl was a gigantic three-day outdoor event with rap/rock headliners P. Diddy, Snoop Dogg and Kid Rock energizing the crowd with nightly shows. Sponsored by Budweiser with tickets given away though local bars and clubs, the event was put on by Mahwallah Productions who commissioned the corporate production gurus Technotrix out of Bourbonnais, Ill., to provide sound, staging, scaffolding, staging and support for the entire event.

DALY CITY, CA — Since opening in 1929, the Fox Theatre in Redwood City, Calif., has enjoyed a long and storied history as a vaudeville stage and movie theater. These days, the landmark 1,400-seat venue and smaller Little Fox nightclub next door play host to a busy schedule of national and regional acts. For years, both venues relied primarily on rental gear or the theater’s aging analog console to handle live shows. Recently, the Fox Theatre underwent an audio makeover to keep pace with a growing demand of artists and events throughout the season, and installed DigidesignVENUE live sound systems into both venues.

Greensboro, NC – To coincide with a significant renovation of their main sanctuary, Westminster Presbyterian Church decided to upgrade their sound reinforcement system. Wanting to ensure the new system would have both the sonic performance they required as well as the ability to aesthetically blend in with the room’s character, church management sought the expertise of Rock Hill-based Paragon Productions to handle the installation. The sound system Paragon Productions selected WorxAudio Technologies’ M80i-P Powered Install Line Array.

The new EAW MicroWedge Series MW12 is the first model of the EAW MicroWedge Series to be released since an agreement was reached between LOUD Technologies Inc. and MicroWedge developer Rat Sound Systems Inc. in late 2007, stipulating that EAW would serve as the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of MicroWedge products.

DAVIS, CA – Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts at the University of California Davis campus is the premiere performance venue in Northern California. Named after the family that founded the famous Robert Mondavi Winery in the Napa Valley, the Center hosts more than 100 performances annually, including world-renowned philharmonic orchestras, rock concerts, lectures and dance performances, as well as various programs presented by UC Davis. Jackson Hall, Mondavi’s 1,801-seat venue designed with natural acoustics mimicking the world’s best classical concert halls in Vienna and Amsterdam, is now equipped with a sound system comprising Meyer Sound M’elodie line array loudspeakers and 600-HP subwoofers.
