ONTARIO – Demonstrating the time-proven performance of JBL loudspeakers across product lines for even the most demanding house-of-worship environments, Westbury National Show Systems installed JBL loudspeaker systems at the Richmond Hill Chinese Community Church as well as the Scarborough Chinese Baptist Church, both located in Ontario, Canada. The installation at Richmond Hill was part of an extension to the existing facility with the addition of a 1,600-seat worship sanctuary, while the installation at Scarborough was part of a new, uniquely designed church with a sanctuary capacity of 1,000 people.

MIAMI – Three 6 Mafia performed at the Miami club Sobe Live to promote the group’s new CD "Last 2 Walk." Production company Drummer Boy Sound, which does sound for Sobe Live, was in charge of the sound with Harold Cummings of Drummer Boy (FOH/Monitors) and Michael Foster, Three 6's engineer handling the audio chores.

LAS VEGAS – Blue Man Group, whose unique and globally successful show is a performance art spectacle rooted in dynamic percussion, relied upon the Electro-Voice N/D468 tom and N/D868 kick drum microphones.

The Invisible Waves series of PC-based RF spectrum analyzers are touted as the world’s first, PC-based RF spectrum analyzers, which offer automatic charting of open white space (open RF frequency) for use with wireless microphones, in-ear monitors, remote control, etc. The Invisible Waves model IW1800 covers the frequency span of 100 KHz to 1.8 GHz. Resolution bandwidth (RBW) is 1 KHz with a typical sensitivity of-120 dbm.

OLD LYME, Conn. – Singer and songwriter Jewel is back in the spotlight, promoting a new country music album, Perfectly Clear, and hitting the road for a lengthy U.S. tour with Brad Paisley following some TV promotion, including appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Jewel, who was famously discovered while performing solo in the coffee shops of San Diego, first adopted Neumann’s KMS 105 on her 2006 tour with matchbox 20 singer Rob Thomas, and is once again using the wired vocal mic with her new five-piece band.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Allen & Heath’s iLive-80 digital console along with an iDR-8 digital zone mixer and 6 remote control PL Series wall plates were installed at the Childrena’s Theater of Annapolis as part of a full audio system recently completed by Dennis Wilson at Audio Plus.

The Community M12 stage monitor has been redesigned. In response to customer feedback, Community has improved the M12 with rubber pocket grip handles for portability, and a larger, easier-to-access connector base. The ergonomically designed stage monitors feature recessed handles designed to simplify lifting and carrying by both handles or just one.
