MONTE CARLO — Outside of Paris, it is unusual to find a club-style live music venue in France. Moods, however, is one such place. It boasts an intimate atmosphere that lends itself very nicely to the task, and an audio system that features a DiGiCo D1 Live and XTA DP448 digital signal processing.

COLOMBIA —The beauitful Roman Catholic Cathedral in Colombia recently installed a Proel system. The installation, which was carried out by the Colombian Proel distributor Yamaki, features a distributed system of the SPARK series of speakers.

VERONA, Italy — Two DiGiCo SD7 consoles played a key role at a unique event recently staged in Verona’s famous Arena. Although renowned for summer seasons that attract opera fans from all over the world, the ancient Roman walls hosted a run of seven concerts by Italian rocker Luciano Ligabue, his band and a full symphony orchestra.

IRELAND — The Stranglers embarked on their recent tour of Ireland and the UK with an Allen & Heath iLive digital system to manage monitor mixing. Comprising an iDR10 Mixrack and iLive-144 Control Surface, the system was specified by the band’s monitor engineer, Kev Allen. 

AUSTRIA — High quality in speech and music, especially optimal speech intelligibility at all seats of the theater and an inartificial support of dialogues, were some of the main demands for the new public-address system in the theater of St. Pölten in lower Austria.

WARSAW, Poland  — Continuing its tradition of bringing together stars with worldwide recognition to witness music at its finest, the International Sopot Festival is Poland’s largest event of the year and celebrated its 45th anniversary with a two-day festival. Warsaw PA rental company, GMB ProSound, supplied and operated the sound system centered on Soundcraft Vi6 and Vi4 mixers. The main front-of-house mixers deployed two Soundcraft Vi6s and the monitors were run through two Soundcraft Vi4 mixers.

COLOGNE, Germany — An L-ACOUSTICS V-DOSC system was recently used for the 35th anniversary show of Hohner, a German folk music band, at the 14,000-capacity Lanxess Arena in Cologne. 

ENGLAND —ADLIB Audio supplied a V-DOSC sound system to the recent Scouting For Girls UK tour, which was specified by the band's FOH engineer Andy Williamson. It was the first time Williamson had toured with V-DOSC, who thought the time was right to give it a good road test. It was also his first time using ADLIB on a full touring show.

BANGALORE, India — The Palace Grounds in Bangalore, India were transformed into a celebration for thousands who turned out for “The Great Indian Rock 2008.” Bangalore transcended into the Rock Capital of India with an international concert that featured three prominent Indian bands, Slingshot, Rainbow Bridge and Extinct Reflections and two Norwegian popular acts, Sahg and Satryicon. V&P Sound deployed a Harman sound system that featured Soundcraft’s Vi6 and included products from JBL, Crown, dbx and AKG.  

ENGLAND — CV Audio called upon on Allen & Heath iLive system for sound reinforcement at the Shrewsbury Folk Festival, a four-day festival with many international acts, such as Grammy-nominated Winnipeg five-piece The Duhks; Richard Thompson from Fairport Convention, legendary folk rockers Oysterband and Irish instrumental band Lunasa,
 

LONDON – The first UK installation of the new OmniLine Micro Line Array from Martin Audio has been installed in the new three-story, glass-fronted Kingly Club in London’s Covent Garden. The scalable system was specified by Bernard Mani, head of London integration company, Systems Etc, after witnessing its launch at PLASA 2007 and seeing it immediately adopted in America for Star Trek The Tour — billed as “the largest interactive Star Trek exhibit ever.” 

LONDON – The beautiful setting of St John’s Church, situated in the heart of London’s Westminster, played host to BRIT award-nominated The Feeling in part of Capital Radio’s Capitalive Summer Tour in association with Rimmel London. Turbosound’s new Flex Array series were used on the tour.
