DORTMUND, GERMANY — As the largest football stadium in the German Bundesliga, with a capacity of over 80,000, Signal Iduna Park — home of Borussia Dortmund (BVB) — recently sanctioned a radical upgrade to its public address system. With this upgrade, RCF deployed 14 RCF clusters of 14 TTL33-A MKII line array elements.

MARCOUSSIS CEDEX, France — Robbie Williams’ ‘Take the Crown’ European stadium tour, his first solo tour for seven years, kicked off on June 14 of this year, taking in 11 countries across June, July and August.  Sherif el Barbari, Audio System Designer and System Engineer for Robbie Williams, designed and spec’d the entire PA system around the requirements of the tour.  Britannia Row, who had already serviced Robbie Williams’ tours for almost two decades, supplied the entire L-Acoustics audio equipment for the tour.

WEST SUSSEX, UK — Turbosound’s Flashline and Flex Array line array PA systems were once again centre stage at this year’s Zurich Open Air Festival, held over the weekend of August 29th. Germany’s Flashline rental partner FeedBack Show Systems & Service GmbH provided sound and lights for the three stages.

ZWAAG, NETHERLANDS — Since the start of the 2013 season, the State Theatre in Salzburg, Austria, operates with a sound system from Dutch manufacturer Alcons Audio. The new acquisition was made because the existing sound system was not able meet the increased demands on the in-house sound system.

HEBDEN BRIDGE, U.K. — Longtime Calrec customer Maryland Public Television (MPT) has won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Audio from the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for its mix of “America’s Veterans: A Musical Tribute,” an hour-long concert that was broadcast live on Maryland Public Television in Fall 2012. In order to mix the award-winning production, MPT used both of its Alpha 40-fader consoles, with two operators per console.

VERONA, Italy – Amo Pavarotti is the first official traveling museum show on the life and works of Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti, who died in 2007 after more than five decades of success as an opera singer. After a New York preview, the exhibition opened here at the Arena Museo Opera in Palazzo Forti earlier this year. F&G Group supported the exhibition with K-array speakers..

OSLO — More than a quarter century after installing eight UPA-1 and two USW-1 conventionally powered loudspeakers in 1986, the The Oslo Concert Hall (Oslo Konserthus) in Norway again turned to a Meyer Sound solution when it came time for an upgrade. AVAB CAC supplied and installed a MICA line array loudspeaker system..

MANCHESTER, UK — Liverpool’s new East Village Arts Club has been equipped with an array of Turbosound loudspeakers as part of a £1.5m refurbishment. MAMA & Company — which also runs venues such as the Jazz Cafe in London and The Ritz in Manchester along with the Global Gathering, Lovebox, and Wilderness festivals — worked with Dimension Audio on the venue’s three defined spaces, which each required individual approaches.
