Seven OB trucks were connected to the Nexus network, which consisted of 16 base stations. Along with 150,000 visitors over the six days, the event was expected to draw some 370 million viewers.

REGENSBURG, Germany – Sound engineer Carsten Kümmel handled classical production duties as house engineer Lawo mc²56 console at this year’s Thurn & Taxis Classic Festival (Schlossfestspiele). Among the performances he mixed were Guiseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto, soprano Angela Gheorghiu and the Symphonic Orchestra from Hof, Germany. KRASNODAR, Russia – An Adamson Energia sound reinforcement system was used for The Stairway to Heaven Festival, held in the Krasnodar region of Russia. The main PA consisted of two Adamson E15 line arrays, each comprised of 12 E15 enclosures. Due to the large width of the PA an additional flown infill system of four E12 per side was installed with an additional four Adamson E12 stacked in front of the stage for lip fill purposes. Low end was supported by six blocks of three Adamson T21 subwoofers arranged in an end-fired configuration left and right of the stage at ground level.

KRISTIANSAND, Norway – MAVT DK provided K-array speakers for “Herliland,” a family-oriented production staged at the Kristiansand Zoo and Amusement Park (Kristiansand Dyreparken) here. The show is an open-air performance positioned near the lake where an audience of 1,500 can watch acrobatic performances, singing and dancing. Three KR400 systems were mounted to three flagpoles at each side of the stage, and on each flagpole were four meters of 3.15” columns.
