SINGAPORE — The Singapore Sports Hub, overlooking the Kallang Basin, has set a new world standard in sports, entertainment and lifestyle destinations. The Sports Hub is home to the National stadium, a multi-purpose indoor arena and aquatic/watersports center. Electronics & Engineering Pte Ltd — one of the oldest integration firms in Singapore — designed and installed multiple sound reinforcement systems throughout the venues within Sports Hub. Each features loudspeakers from Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW).

MEXICO CITY — After Mexican singer/songwriter Juan Gabriel interrupted his U.S. “Volver 2014” tour for two weeks due to illness, his engineering staff prevailed upon 3G Productions to switch over to a Martin Audio MLA system for the remaining arena dates. As 3G’s System Engineer Manny Perez describes the changeover, “The other system was working just fine, but Juan’s FOH engineer Rodrigo Lopez had attended an MLA demo in Mexico and was really interested to see how it would perform.” (Tour Photo: Robert Hacman)

MEXICO CITY – Mexican pop icon Juan Gabriel is touring the U.S. with an SSL Live, the first-ever dedicated live sound console from Solid State Logic. One of Mexico’s most successful vocalists, Gabriel is a Billboard Latin Music Hall of Fame inductee and six-time Grammy nominee who has sold over 30 million albums and performed throughout the world. When his 2014 “Volver” tour prepared for its U.S. leg, front of house engineer Rodrigo Lopez was excited to mix on SSL’s latest innovation.

The brand-new Siren festival made its debut in a small picturesque town on the Abruzzo Adriatic coast in Italy, powered by an Outline sound system. The sound systems increased in size from the Outline DVS enclosures installed for the small stages at the Palazzo d’Avalos gardens and Rotonda Viale Dalmazia, through the Arena delle Grazie, where bands had at their disposal 6+6 Outline Mantas and two DBS 18-2 subs, to the courtyard of the 16th century Palazzo d’Avalos, which was equipped with two main hangs of twelve Mantas systems and six DBS 18-2 subwoofers.

HONG KONG, China – For the Wong Tai Sin Temple, a well-known shrine and tourist attraction here, DinoTech Ltd designed a 15-zone distributed audio system that makes use of 70 One Systems 103IM, 108IM and 112IM direct weather loudspeakers powered by four Lab.gruppen C 28:4 amplifiers. A Biamp AudiaFLEX DSP audio platform monitors and controls the 15-zones.
